COMPLETE OR UPDATE YOUR INTENT TO RETURN DECLARATION
In preparation for the 4th quarter of the current (2020-2021) school year, families once again have the option to select their preferred instructional model for each student. For 4th quarter, you may choose from the three instructional delivery models currently in use 1) Site Based Virtual Learning, 2) Face to Face and 3) Atlanta Virtual Academy (get the most current information HERE).

As with previous intent to return declaration windows, we're asking parents and guardians to be reflective about their desire to have their child return for face to face instruction. We know that some students have greater need for face to face instruction than others. It is clear that virtual learning has been successful for some while challenging for others. We trust that each parent or guardian will make a decision that best fits the needs of their individual child and the safety of the community.

If you submitted a response during the previous intent-to-return declaration period, you may use this form to update your selection. If you do not complete this form by Monday March 8th, your student(s) will remain in their current instructional learning model. Responses may be changed until the declaration period closes on March 8th.

COVID-19 TESTING AVAILABLE FOR STUDENTS AND STAFF
In an effort to mitigate COVID-19 in our schools and community, Atlanta Public Schools (APS) has adopted a Comprehensive COVID-19 Testing Strategy in collaboration with public health officials, community partners, universities, and healthcare organizations.

This strategy works with our school-based APS Care Centers and community resources to provide testing for the following groups:
    • Students, teachers, and staff with symptoms identified through the health screening protocols
    • Students, teachers, and staff who have had contact with someone with COVID-19 in the school or workplace
    • All students, faculty, and staff with possible exposure in the context of outbreak settings
    • PLUS surveillance testing for individuals who are asymptomatic.
