NPU-S Events:

• Mon Jan 1, 0:00am. Yard Trimmings Collected. Due to staffing shortages, yard trimmings will be collected every other week until further notice. This week, yard trimmings WILL be collected.
  
  Trash and recycling are collected weekly as usual.
• Wed Jan 3, 6:00pm. Oakland City Public Safety Committee Meeting. Cathedral of Faith Church of God in Christ, 1137 Avon Ave SW, Atlanta, GA 30310, USA. As part of our ongoing efforts to prioritize community safety and foster open dialogue, we cordially invite you to our upcoming Public Safety Committee meeting.
  
  Date: January 3, 2024
  Time: 6:00-6:45pm
  Location: Community Room at Cathedral of Faith, Corner of Avon and Princess.  Park in the back lot and enter through the back door.
  
  We are fortunate to host guests from the Atlanta Police Department: Major Clay, Captain Azert, and Lt. Harper. This invaluable opportunity allows us to engage directly with our dedicated law enforcement officials, providing a platform to voice concerns, share insights, and collaboratively address neighborhood safety matters.
  
  Your participation is pivotal in shaping our community's safety initiatives. To ensure a productive discussion, we encourage you to submit your questions or concerns beforehand. Please use the following Google Form to share your thoughts: tinyurl.com/ocpublicsafety

• Wed Jan 3, 6:15pm. NPU-S Land Use Committee meeting. This committee makes recommendations to the NPU about:
  
  1. all matters related to the development of residential, commercial, and other large-scale development projects;
  2. all matters related to zoning, economic development, business expansion and retention, and urban design;
  3. all matters related to traffic and transportation planning;
  4. and all matters related to enforcement of City Codes.

  3. and all matters related to the relationship of the NPU with its neighboring NPUs, neighborhoods, and municipalities.
