The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) and City of Atlanta will host three public updates to share information and take questions and comments about the More MARTA Program. Two in-person updates will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18, and Thursday, April 20, 2023. A virtual update will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19.
These updates will provide information about the past, present, and future of the More MARTA program, which was passed in 2016 by 71% of voters to fund MARTA improvements and expansion in the City of Atlanta.
Most recently, City and MARTA leadership have worked together on updating the sequencing plan of projects to deliver a first tier of projects through the year 2028. These projects include Summerhill Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), Campbellton BRT, the Five Points Transformation, Streetcar East Extension, and more. A second tier would be initiated in the future as more funding becomes available.
All three meetings will have the same content. The in-person meetings are convenient to MARTA service and light refreshments will be served.
MARTA welcomes all Atlanta residents, taxpayers, customers, and other stakeholders to attend and learn more about how the More MARTA program will bring more prosperity, more connectivity, and more equity to our ridership and communities.
